Hi, I'm Lisa, and I'm a nail educator and full-time web designer. I started my nail journey in 2017 and have over 8 years of experience in the industry, and have served over 300 clients. Prior to starting Meraki Nails UK, whilst having a passion for anything nail-related, I had a concern for clients receiving poor customer service, damaged nails, nails that wouldn't last, as well as being dissatisfied about their expectations being met with nail art and service quality. I shared some of these experiences too when I had my acrylic nails done for the first time at a salon. I could always see myself providing a different experience for others. I wanted clients to sit in my chair and feel comfortable, knowing they wouldn't leave with damaged nails, poor customer service and the typical negative experiences shared in the nail industry.  Fast forward, after 5 years of providing nail services, I started an online acrylic nails course to help beginners with what I wish I knew when starting with everything I learnt and experienced as a nail tech. I wanted to provide a course that is detailed, valuable and flexible with affordability. For example, when I started taking appointments as a beginner, my client's nails would fall off or lift within the first few days which was difficult to deal with. I spent months trying out different techniques, until I found what was working and went from nails lifting/falling off after a few days to nails that lasted over 4 weeks consistently. This happened despite me being qualified at the time, so my goal is to not only teach how to do acrylic nails, but to build your service quality from the ground up from the moment you start learning. This way you will become equipped and confident to provide nails that last, nails that don't damage the natural nail, a great level of customer service and more - all to enhance service quality as I believe great service quality = client retention. As a beginner nail tech at the time, I became more confident once I knew what was working and built a successful clientele who would book regularly and would always give feedback on how strong their nails were, how they lasted for a long time and didn't damage their nails. I took pride in the way I created a comfortable, quality service to stand out from my clients' typical experiences they would have had prior to booking with me. This course was not created to just be another acrylic nails course, but one that ensures you know what to do to create nails that your clients need with high-retention techniques and great service quality, so that you can build a successful nail business with returning clients, and skip the trial and error that I had when I started.
